For this discussion, you will reflect on the main components of cultural competence: culturally relevant methods, anti-bias curriculum, diverse family structures, and multicultural education.
Before you begin your discussion, review the Diversity, Equity, and Cultural Competence (Links to an external site.) resource, which provides links to information and resources that break down and operationalize the concept of cultural competence in ways that may support your thinking on cultural competence and its various components.
Address the bulleted items below for each of the following components of cultural competence: culturally relevant methods, anti-bias curriculum, diverse family structures, and multicultural education.

- Defend why the component is important to you as an early childhood professional.
