Class, there is a competition made popular by the University of Queensland called the Three Minute Thesis. You can find details athttp://threeminutethesis.org/ . We are just introducing this assignment into our Capstone Thesis and Project class in order to begin the process of building a similar program here. At this point though, it is just an assignment in class.
Specifically, this assignment is to create one slide that exemplifies your thesis or project topic and narrate the research question/project, overarching literature, your analysis/description and your conclusion/recommendations – all in three minutes! ONLY. No more and not much less. The idea is for you to condense your research into a short presentation to familiarize others with your research/project and findings. We will share there narratives the last week of class.
The format must be one slide with narration. Power Point has a narrative feature but at times produces very large files. Knovio has a free plan athttp://www.knovio.com/pro/knovio-monthly-plans/ and produces a nice product. You are free to use any other means you have to produce this three-minute capstone but it has to be something that can be viewed by all. Specialty or licensed applications are not always viewable by all formats. Please upload your finished product in the final forum and the final assignment both. The one in the assignment will be graded.
