Are there more research issues that can be or need to be considered? If so, what additional research considerations are worth adding? Are there considerations from a biblical perspective?

Introduction
When I found a research presentation to gather information for this discussion forum, my immediate attention was focused on the COVID 19 pandemic. There has been extensive research on this respiratory virus, and also on the vaccine, which was distributed at the end of 2020. When I wanted to find media coverage for the vaccine, I discovered tons of media, such as interviews, news segments, documentaries and more, about this pandemic and its uprising. However, I wanted to focus more on the vaccine trials and research carried out for the distribution of vaccines. This is when I watched the presentation KidCOVE Study Launches at UW evaluating safety and effectiveness of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, which is carried out by Dr. Wiliam Hartman as a clinical trial on vaccines for the lower age group between 6 months and 12 years old.
The Research Question
For the research question in this clinical trial, is this Moderna COVID vaccine safe and effective for the younger age group? This was the main focus of the clinical study, as this is the last age group to be fully vaccinated from the deadly virus. When trying to navigate a research question, we must start with the research topic, which in this case would be the COVID-19 Pandemic. According to Crawford (2019), we are given a triangular approach to narrow down our research question. The subject is perceived as more of a broader knowledge of information, and then we become narrower in scope to a particular research issue. When we reach that research question, we can now be more focused and provide a more succinct area. Which in this case, the more focused area is the specific type of vaccine, Moderna, and the specific age group, which is 6 months to 12 years old.
The Research Methods Being Used
In the presentation, KidCOVE Study Launches at UW evaluating safety and effectiveness of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, participants between 6 months and 12 years old were given vaccine number one on day one and then vaccine number two on day two. Between the times of each vaccine being distributed, Dr. Hartman was following up with the participants to determine if there was any type of change or symptoms being displayed. The first method Dr. Hartman explains is the double-blind study. As this is a double-blind study, this means neither Dr. Hartman nor the participants are aware of who is receiving the placebo, which is an inert substance and has absolutely no effect on the participant (Crawford, 2019). Dr. Hartman, nor the participants know which group will receive the actual Moderna vaccine. The aim of this study is to verify if the Moderna vaccine is effective in the fight against COVID by comparing it to the participants who received the placebo. If the placebo group and the control group both had the same reaction, then the vaccine was deemed not to work. According to Crawford, 2019 a double blind study is also an important advantage as a research method, because if the participant nor the researcher knows what group was administered the vaccine or placebo, this eliminates the chance of the participants behaving in a way that can influence the study or become bias. This is comparable to the limitation of demand characteristics. The demand characteristic affect is when the researcher is not to diminish any type of acts on how the participants should behave. This can also reduce the diffusion of treatment affect, which consists of participants speaking among each other about who received the vaccine and who did not, which can also skew the results (Crawford, 2019).
Ethical Concerns
As for any research method or clinical study, we must ensure there are no ethical concerns or obligations to harm the participants in the study. For this double blind research method for the vaccine, the ethical concern I would point out is not knowing which group received the placebo and which group did not. I say this because the children who received the placebo effect could contract the COVID virus, and they are not protected compared to the children who received the COVID vaccine, and are protected by their antibodies to combat the virus. According to Crawford (2019), when we are given a placebo, we do not know the full strength and effect that can be an after-effect. This could be an ethical problem, because if parents assume the child is vaccinated, but given the placebo of no effect, this could risk the child getting sick. This leads to a different set of expectations that can influence the results of the work in adverse ways.
Conclusion
With all this being said, I believe the best research method was conducted in this due to the researchers being able researchers' ability to dictate the true effectiveness of the vaccine. The results were 93% effective after the first dose and 100% effective two weeks after the second dose for this specific vaccine to the kids administered the vaccine versus the placebo.
