- Once you’ve conducted your viewing, organize your information into the genre of a critical review in four categories:
- Introduction & summary of the movie being evaluated put into context
- Discussion of how well the show measures up to your chosen criteria
- Engagement with the sources’ evaluations of the same movie
- Conclusion about the movie’s worth, usefulness, effectiveness, quality, significance, or other general value
- Include an MLA Works Cited entry for all sources at the end of the review and include proper in-text citations for all sources within the review.
Assessment: This essay is worth 15% of your overall grade. To achieve a good grade, you must include a clear introduction, discuss four well-developed critique criteria, engage with two outside sources, and make a conclusion about the overall value of the show. You must also properly format your review to look like a review, cite your sources well, and the review must be free of grammatical and sentence-level errors.
