Your goal of the personal practice essay is to experience two new alternate approaches to creating an "outlet for frustration" outside of our normal yoga/meditation – you can do this by trying out some tai chi (online videos are available via you tube), learning about and practicing a different breathing technique, going for a run, asking a loved one to teach you how to play an instrument, cook a healthy meal from scratch…possibilities are endless. It does need to be something DIFFERENT! Remember that the activity should take your mind off current stressors in your life and result in something positive.
Once you have completed these experiences, write a short synopsis on them and provide your insight/comparison/reflection about them as it relates to being an outlet for frustration. Note if you feel that yoga/meditation has been an outlet for frustration yet this semester. There is no right or wrong on this assignment, but rather just the experiences. Please link information we have talked about/been exposed to in lecture or activity to the experiences you had. Be sure to provide complete information about both experiences you experienced in your essay (links to websites, dates/time of experiences). Essays should be approximately between 2-3 pages in length.
