The differences between traditional and action research is that traditional research is done in a very general sense with controlled variables, while action research is done in a smaller setting and the variable can be changed during the research to see what changes (Abdullayeva, Arifjanova, Mingniyozova,& Turayeva. 2019). The similarities are that both research styles use a type of change to see how a control group is affected. Businesses may choose to use action research because it works well for a specific population and can implement positive changes before the research is concluded. An example would be when a business makes changes to a workspace to see how it affects productivity. These changes can be implemented or stop being used fairly fast based on the initial observations.
