After you discuss a state requirement and compare it to Medicare’s CoP, perform some research on the Joint Commission requirements for the facilities that they provide services to. Under ‘Standards’ choose ‘National Patient Safety Goals’ then choose one of the National Patient Safety Goal(s), (i.e. Ambulatory health, behavioral health, critical access hospital).
