Literature Study

This section could start with what’s presented in your planning document. However, it needs to be more focused , and with greater depth.

Methodology

This part can share some similarities with your planning document, providing what’s been planned have mostly been conducted. But this is also an opportunity to improve (which is expected), making it more focused .

Results

Present the results of the study in a well-structured and coherent manner with in-depth analysis, advanced forms of presentation critically used to good effect.

Discussion

In this section, expand from your obtained results to:

· Discuss your project outcomes

· Justification of how they were reached.

· Consideration of how the project outcomes were shown to be valid (at what condition/situation/environment etc.)

· Summarize your contributions (improvements/validation in theory, experimental, concept generation, design optimization, feasibility etc.) and acknowledge current limitations of them.

This needs to be done in a structured and coherent approach, showing hierarchy (e.g. major findings, minor findings, etc.)

Conclusion

Review your project by summarize the relationship between the outcomes in section 5 and the aim & objectives.

Consideration of how the project outcomes indicate the potential for future work, justified by results discussion.

Valuable and insightful further work suggested with key technical details presented, supported and justifiable by the project conclusion.

Recommendations

Make recommendations for further work.

Reflective Account

Add a reflective account describing your development and experiences gained during the project. From a project management and stakeholder engagement perspective: what worked well, what was problematic and how would you improve your performance in your next project ?

Suggested sub-headings are:

Professional Development

What professional skills did you develop and gain during the project ?

Communication Approach

1 Abstract

COVID 19 has affected all sectors, including the construction sector. As the

construction sector relies a lot on the supply chain, it is important that different strategies

have to be adopted to ensure that quality and affordable materials reach different construction

companies. After coronavirus struck, several issues were reported in the construction sector.

Some of them include the inaccessibility of materials due to active lockdowns, which make

many areas difficult to access. The other is increased transport costs to respond to the effect

of restrictions on supply chain and logistics. The different materials that are required may no

longer be available in the companies.

To resolve the different issues that are affecting the construction sector, you must first

resolve those related to the supply chain. One of the ways is to come up with different ways

of accessing the materials, like getting licenses to access the locked areas. The paper also

discusses the different ways that companies can make use of the available materials to

address the different needs. Scaling the materials so that misuse is reduced or gotten rid of is

a way that the issues can be resolved. Therefore, scalability, repurposing, and substitution

create a thesis for research.

Recovery activities are more cost-effective than traditional approaches such as

building a backup network. The cause of supply chain adaptability and abilities are normally

taken into consideration in mild of a few awaited occasions and areas of unresisting method,

which are to be used in case of an exigency (W. W. S. S. Amelie M.2021).

Also, the modern COVID-19 epidemic has discovered problems with inside the well-

timed deployments of adaptability methods and their utility for fee introduction. An outline

the discount of dislocation anticipation sweats and price creation from adaptability technique.

This research provides a dialogue on exploration instructions in the direction of spare

1.1 Project Aim

The project aims at developing ways of supplying high quality material for

construction project at reduced cost. This is to counter the increase in cost of construction

material and their transportation that have been contributed by the COVID-19 pandemic

(Dabo Guan, 2020). In this project we will look at the effective ways to manage the

construction material supply chain which will account for the best supply chain control

strategies to adopt.

1.2 Background Work

Construction projects have been greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic

including the restrictions that have been put in place. The restriction has resulted in

some businesses closing down and others reducing the workers. The effect of this is

increase in the cost of materials and their transportation. supply chain in construction

projects covers labour and material. The restrictions require less workers at site

which means more time for the project and cost. Low production form companies

have resulted in the price of materials going up.

1.3 Problem statement

The construction industry supply chain has been greatly affected by the

COVID-19 effects which include restrictions and requirements put in place. This

has resulted in the cost of obtaining construction materials rising and increase in

project completion time. Reduced production of construction materials has resulted

in their high cost as the companies try to keep up with the rising cost of production.

This cost has been transferred to the construction project stakeholders who are

incurring it. Restrictions such as maintaining distance has resulted in reduction in
