Think of the types of disaster that could affect your own community, and choose one. Based on the list of stakeholders included in the FEMA chapter, develop a PowerPoint presentation identifying the major stakeholders who would be involved with the disaster preparedness and planning activities of the type of disaster you have chosen.
First, explain the disaster event on which you are focusing. Then, identify and present five to seven major stakeholders and their involvement in the preparedness and planning for the disaster. Include details on how each of the stakeholders would be involved by differentiating their roles, how they would work together, and how each fits into the broader context of emergency management.
NOTE: This assignment’s content should differ from the information you provided in Unit I as you need to focus here on preparedness and planning stakeholders (and the actions to be taken)—not just response and recovery stakeholders and efforts.
