Racism & Cultural Inequality

10165You must consider the professor’s comments in this revision of the paper. His comments are below:

Charles:

“The purpose of this assignment,” according to the syllabus, “is to begin drafting your academic argumentative research paper.” It includes both an introduction and a literature review. You use APA editorial style correctly although I think your argument needs more context. As I have said, you need to begin your essay by defining the problem. What criticisms have American cities faced in recent years, and why do many believe that cities will have to change as the climate continues to change? These questions can be answered by doing more research or using the research you have done in a slightly different way. Once you have defined the problem, you can go on to make an argument about the solution. Is your argument that thoughtful urban planning can undo racial segregation and address other economic and racial inequities? Can it address gender issues as well? How? You need to be as specific as you can about both the problems and the proposed solutions. Your essay is generally well proofread but I think it could be better edited. You need to continue to work on creating a clear, direct style. Make sure to review my notes carefully. I recommend that you use the Writing Center for each of your upcoming assignments. They can help you with all these issues. As always, let me know if you have any questions.
