Macro Project Proposal (100pts)
Please note: The macro project you propose this semester is an actual project that you must develop and implement this semester. This is not a theoretical activity. You will want to develop a project that is realistic for you to complete, write on, and present this semester. For these reasons, you will want to be realistic when developing your project considering it needs to be completed this semester. Examples of previous projects completed by students include: 1) Developing a field site manual to assist your agency in on-boarding, training, and developing MSW interns. 2) Training curriculum that you develop, is rooted in research, and you present to your site during the semester. If this is the case, students are responsible for submitting the curriculum you develop, as well as evidence that you presented to your agency on your topic such as photos, recordings etc. 3) Building a website with resources for your site. 4) Building a extensive tangible, as well as virtual resource bank for employees and interns at your site to access to assist them in serving their clients. You are not limited to these options, however, these are examples of successful projects students have completed in the past. Evidence of the completion of the project must be provided in your paper as attachments, and the project must justify time spent developing and implementing your project over a semester.
(It is possible for students who share practicum placements with other students to complete their project together) – Students must submit a detailed outline of their macro project by the date noted on weekly agenda section of the syllabus. The Outline should address the following: (1) Provide a general overview of the Field Agency and Services Provided, (2) Define the Social Problem being addressed by your project, (3) Identify Key Stakeholders of the Agency and their involvement in the Macro Project, (4) Describe your proposed Activity (including timeline), (5) Identify prospective outcomes of your activity, and (6) Note all group members from your associated with the project (if applicable). If you do submit as a group, prior notice and approval must be sought from your professor. Each student must also submit their own individually written proposal. Students may not cut and paste each other’s sections into your proposal.
