Through the lens of globalization, many of the transformations that have occurred in the world around us involve the relationship between organizational communication and globalization. Some argue that it is the organizational (corporate) form that has driven the processes of globalization. It is with this growth and expansion that leadership, corporate social responsibility, and the notion of the self in relation to the organization must be examined.
Directions:
For this assignment you will develop a PowerPoint presentation that explores how leadership affects organizational communication from a global perspective. Your presentation should be approximately 7–10 slides, with speaker notes, and include the following:
Begin with a title slide with your name, class number, instructor name, and term.
Describe what globalization is from an organizational communication perspective.
Explain what leadership approach you would like to work within and why.
Choose two organizations (your choice) and then find the corporate social responsibility (CSR) statement from each. Explain what these CSR statements have in common.
Explain the differences in the CSR statements. Address any concerns about greenwashing, social accounting, and corporate decision making.
Discuss whether or not the CSR statements illustrate a global perspective.
Choose one of your selected organizations and recommend one leadership approach that could be used to improve work identity and meaningful work/life balance. When making your recommendation, consider global perspectives.
Include a reference slide with a minimum of two scholarly references; one can be your text.
Your speaker notes should be thorough and used to enhance the slide content.
