• An argument analysis focuses on how an argument is developed in a way that makes it convincing to the audience addressed. The analysis reveals the claim or thesis of the argument, explains how the author develops it, and evaluates its effectiveness. Here are the key questions your argument analysis should address.

To what audience is the argument addressed? How is the development of the argument designed to appeal to this audience?

◦ Is the argument effective, particularly for the specific audience to which it is directed?
• Analyze the argument of the article in 450-650 words. Your response should feature at least one instance of attribution, at least one quotation, and at least one paraphrase of content from the article provided.
• Include the citation for the article in a Works Cited list following your analysis.
