In this activity, you will continue working with the survey dataset you organized in the previous assignment. Your task is to analyze the data in Excel and present your findings as if you were preparing a short report for organizational executives.

Your report should include tables, graphs, and brief written narratives explaining your results and their implications for the organization.

✅ Steps to Complete

1. Describe the Demographics

· Create frequency tables for gender, age, education, years with organization, and years with supervisor.

· Use bar charts or pie charts to visualize demographic distributions. Be sure to label categories and include percentages.

· In your narrative, explain what the organization can learn from the demographic makeup of its employees.

2. Summarize Attitudes & Performance Variables

· Using your computed variables (Supervisor Commitment, Organizational Commitment, Engagement, Performance):

· Calculate mean, mode, median, minimum, and maximum.

· Insert a table summarizing these statistics.

· Create a bar chart of the mean scores for each variable.

· Note: Do not analyze the individual survey items (Q2, Q3, etc.). Use only the computed variables you created.

3. Interpret the Results

· Compare the mean scores to the scale midpoint (e.g., if the scale was 1–5, midpoint = 3).

· Calculate the percentage of employees scoring “high” (those selecting agree or strongly agree on the scale).

· In your narrative, explain whether the results indicate strong or weak attitudes/engagement and discuss what that means for the organization.

4. Examine the Distribution

· Create histograms for each computed variable.

· Identify whether each distribution is normal or skewed.

· Explain what the distribution shape implies about employee attitudes and performance.

· Report: Write your findings in a Word document. Include your tables, graphs, and a brief interpretation for each step.

· Evidence: Attach either your Excel analysis file or screenshots of your output as proof of your work.

1. Demographics Analysis (20 points)

· Excellent (20 pts): Clear frequency tables and well-labeled graphs (with percentages). Strong narrative explaining insights from demographics.

· Good (16 pts): Tables and graphs provided but minor labeling/detail issues; narrative somewhat limited.

· Sufficient (12 pts): Partial tables or graphs; limited explanation of demographic insights.

· Needs Improvement (8 pts): Minimal attempt; unclear or incomplete results.

· No Submission (0 pts).

2. Descriptive Statistics of Computed Variables (25 points)

· Excellent (25 pts): Accurate calculation of mean, mode, median, min, and max for all four computed variables; well-formatted table; mean scores clearly visualized in graph.

· Good (20 pts): All calculations included but one or two contain minor errors or missing visual.

· Sufficient (15 pts): Partial calculations (some missing variables or measures) or poorly formatted table/graph.

· Needs Improvement (10 pts): Minimal statistics shown, unclear results.

· No Submission (0 pts).

3. Interpretation of Results (20 points)

· Excellent (20 pts): Clear comparison of means to midpoint; accurate percentage of “high scorers”; thoughtful narrative about organizational implications.

· Good (16 pts): Mostly correct interpretations; percentages or midpoint comparison not fully explained.

· Sufficient (12 pts): Some attempt at interpretation but vague or incomplete.

· Needs Improvement (8 pts): Minimal explanation with little connection to data.

· No Submission (0 pts).

4. Distribution Analysis (20 points)

· Excellent (20 pts): Histograms provided for all computed variables; clear identification of normal vs. skewed; narrative explains implications for organization.

· Good (16 pts): All histograms included but interpretation lacks depth or contains small errors.

· Sufficient (12 pts): Some histograms missing or unclear; limited interpretation.

· Needs Improvement (8 pts): Minimal attempt with little usable analysis.

5. Report Quality & Presentation (15 points)

· Excellent (15 pts): Report is professional, well-organized, and concise; includes correct tables, graphs, and clear narratives suitable for executives.

· Good (12 pts): Report is complete and organized but has minor formatting or clarity issues.

· Sufficient (9 pts): Report includes results but lacks organization or professional tone.

· Needs Improvement (6 pts): Minimal or disorganized report, difficult to follow.
