Executive Coaching has experienced dramatic growth as an industry during the past decade. It is a specialized sub-field of I/O Psychology that all I/O Psychologists need to be familiar with because they will inevitably meet Executive Coaches, work with professionals who have undergone Executive Coaching, or be asked to engage in Executive Coaching. As such, you will explore Executive Coaching in greater depth during this unit’s Discussion.
Before responding to this Discussion topic, be sure you have read in your textbook the sections of Chapter 15 on Multirater Feedback Approaches and Coaching. Also, please read the following article, available in the Library:

Discussion Scenario:
You were hired last year by an organization to coach several executives. One of the executives you have been coaching, Michael Fless, Regional Manager, has just completed this year’s 360-Degree Feedback Cycle. The results can be found in the 360-Degree Feedback Report. You will need to review this report to answer this week’s Discussion topic.
You need to plan a coaching session with Mr. Fless in which you will go over the results of his 360-Degree Feedback Report. Please outline in your response to this Discussion topic what data or parts of his 360-Degree Feedback Report you will focus on most in your meeting with Mr. Fless, and why you have chosen these items to focus on. Why are these items important to highlight for Mr. Fless? Then, consider that you have been coaching Mr. Fless for a year now. There is one primary area in the Report where Mr. Fless has not shown what you would consider to be adequate improvement from last year as a result of your coaching efforts: the domain of Management. Using the article from the Library, “Executive Coaching Outcome Research: The Contribution of Common Factors Such as Relationship, Personality Match, and Self-efficacy,” explain what you might be able to do differently this year to achieve better results with Mr. Fless in this problematic area of your coaching.
