The National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) is used to protect employees in their rights to organize, join, or assist in labor organizations or engage in connected activities for the purpose of collective bargaining. Under the NLRA, protected conduct cannot be about one person acting alone unless he or she is acting on behalf of a group of employees. On the other hand, unprotected conduct is when an individual act alone and is only representing him or herself.
