Directions : After discussing the P.R.I.C.E of Success model, and learning about what it takes to be a successful student and develop the skills that employers are seeking, your assignment is to write an essay demonstrating this knowledge.

In a 2-part essay, first discuss what the 5 main elements are for the P.R.I.C.E of Success model. List the definitions of professionalism, respect, integrity, caring, and engagement. Discuss what you learned about each of these elements in your course and describe what these elements mean to you. 

Next, you must provide 1-2 examples of how you use each element in your interactions with others or in the workplace.  How is professionalism demonstrated? How do you show respect to others?  How do employees maintain integrity? How do you show you care about your coworkers and customers?  How do you demonstrate that you are engaged with your responsibilities and customers while working?  

For the second part of the essay, provide a description of how our personal blind spots or scotomas could inhibit our ability to implement the elements of price in our personal and/or professional lives.  We develop these blind spots for many reasons, out of habit we revert to when under stress, how we were raised to see things, and by having our own ways of thinking.  Have you ever been so stressed for an exam that your forgot all of the content?  Have you ever been running late, looking for your keys to find they were in your hand the entire time? 

When you are finished, to gain full credit, you should have a detailed description of what each element of P.R.I.C.E of Success means, at least one example of how you demonstrate each element in your interactions with others or in the workplace, and how scotomas can prevent you from demonstrating the P.R.I.C.E of Success elements in your life.

You are required to submit minimum of 300 words for this essay submission. Your essay submission is due by Sunday of week 1. The video listed above as well as the PRICE of Success document listed in the syllabus folder will help you better understand the PRICE of Success model.
