Overview
For Milestone One, you will choose an organization for your final project. Choose an organization that would benefit from Change Management and research its status. The organization can be a functioning one or one that has gone out of business within the last three years.
Scenario
You have been hired as the new CEO of a company whose profits are declining. You are performing your initial research into the organization before you begin putting together a plan to lead the company into the future.
Directions
Choose a company that you believe would benefit from Change Management. It must be an operating company or one that has gone out of business in the last three years.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
Organization Overview
Company Type: Discuss the type of company you chose, identify its target audience, and provide sufficient detail to illustrate your comprehensive research.
What type of product or service does the company provide?
What type of consumers does the company target?
Company History: Provide a brief history of the company that offers a clear view of the company’s past.
Why and by whom was the company started?
When and where did the company start?
What has been the progression of the company? For example, “the company started out with two stores, expanded in the 1990s, but has recently experienced a downturn.”
Company Culture: Describe the company’s culture using sufficient detail that illustrates comprehensive research of the company.
Mission and Vision Statement: Provide the organization’s mission and vision statement and explain how it is reflected in the company’s culture. Use examples to illustrate your conclusions.
What are the company’s mission and vision statements? Note that some organizations have both, and some have one or the other.
What to Submit
Submit your paper as a 3- to 5-page (excluding cover and references pages) Microsoft Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Sources should be cited according to APA style.
