Briefly outline (in 1 to 2 paragraphs) some of the ways that the development of states and empires set the stage for the development of nation-states in the West and the lack of that development in the East. You might consider discussing the expansion of world religions, world trade, and intellectual development.
III. Conclusion
In this section, you will restate your thesis statement and reference the broader significance of your topic.
